How Effective/ Safe are Weight Loss Pills? Make an Informed Decision!
People search like crazy for best weight loss pills or supplements on the net to tackle their weight issues; get rid of their unwanted weight.
There are numerous supplements or drugs available in the market (herbal/ non-herbal, both kinds) that claim to make you lose weight; and get your dream body within a matter of days. The claims are just too high and people easily get lured by them; but should one really trust them?.
Let me share a study that was published in Journal of the American Medical Association, about five weight loss drugs (orlistat, lorcaserin, naltrexone-bupropion, phentermine-topiramate, or liraglutide) that got approved by US Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
Under this study, the researchers looked at 28 randomized clinical trials (RCTs) of about 30,000 overweight and obese adults.😳😱 It was found that, on an average, each of these five drugs helped people lose 5% of their body weight after one year and all drugs were equally effective. This means that if a person weighs 100 kgs, he would be able to reduce about 5-7 kgs in one year.😳😳

- Reduce the appetite by decreasing the feeling of hunger and promoting fullness, as a result, one eats less, which means fewer calorie intake.
- Slows down the stomach emptying process which helps control hunger and reduces cravings.
- Increases the fat burning process, making one burn more calories.
Cost:
These drugs cost a lot, starting from a few dollars per day. You can casually search the net for Weight Loss Pills Price + ‘your country’. The Bigger the Reputation = The Higher the Price.
And these are required to be taken for long durations for better results. Some have reported that they gain back their weight when they stopped taking the pills.
Side Effects:
Each pill/ drug has its own side effects + not everyone can take every drug. You definitely should consult your physician prior to beginning with any weight loss drug.
Most of these weight loss pills have many nasty side effects. Leaking oily stools, loose stools, passing gas, constant nausea, headaches, dizziness, fatigue, and sleepiness, are amongst the many more side effects these have.
MY TAKE on Weight Loss Pills/ Supplements/ Drugs:
Frankly, I was very skeptical about taking random drugs to get rid of my weight issues. So I have never had one myself. Not that I did not think about them. I did… But then like what everyone does, I researched about them and also spoke to a few professionals. Once I learned what I have already shared above, I was sure these were not meant for me. I can’t take anything that I cannot trust.
I wanted a solution that was natural and more importantly the one that I can continue to follow all my life. And so I went for a much a simpler solution. A solution that consisted of a combination of adopting a healthier lifestyle and clean eating habits. This helped me reduce 25% of my weight in about 10 months; as against 5% in one year that I would have lost if I had relied on weight loss pill + some of those side effects 🤔🤔

The best part of losing the weight naturally and without the use of any supplements is that you are not dependent on anything except your own self.
The thought I want to leave you with:
The weight loss pills cannot show results alone,  these need to be combined with other methods, like focusing on your diet and exercising… Uhmmm… Does this sound familiar to you?
I lost 20 kgs in about 10 months, by just working on my eating habits and change of lifestyle – which is focusing on my diet and exercises .. but without taking any random weight loss pill.
So everything that you need to do when you take the weight loss pills as well … Can you get the hint? You need to decide for yourself now…
